THIS VIDEO GIVES A SNAP SHOT OF THE ANNIE MALONE STORY.
Mr. Bryson founded and is the President/CEO of the Annie Malone Center for Development. The Center is designed to resurrect the story and legacy of Peoria’s Annie Malone, the first black female millionaire. He also became a certified Mental Health First Aider, and founder of the Community Mental Health Educators.
Mr. Bryson provides workshops, seminars, and trainings to educators, businesses, community members and organizations on how to become culturally competent and equipped to recognize the stigma and unique needs and mental health concerns of people of color and to provide community awareness of available mental health resources and services to law enforcement, school educators, businesses, community-based organizations, and community members.
Mr. Bryson has a vast range of experience in human development, education, and employment training programs. He was employed with the City of Peoria’s Workforce Development Program for over seventeen years as Senior Vocational Counselor before moving on to Illinois Central College as a Counselor, and Adjunct Faculty.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences from Eureka College and a Master’s Degree in Social Science from Illinois State University. Currently, he has been conducting his ‘Stop Tripping Life Skills and Job Readiness Bootcamps” in three local high schools as well as teacher and corporate trainings.
Most recently, Bryson has become a BH365Professional Development trainer and Advisory Board member. BH365 is a team of about 40 historians and researchers who have created a new school curriculum called Black History 365 that explores crucial pieces of history often left out of text books.
We are inviting students, educators, businesses, entrepreneurs, and community members to join us to learn how to become change agents or business icons that advocate Annie Malone’s philosophy of community engagement & self-empowerment. Below are some of our events.
